Before applying, please read the entire requisition. This is a volunteer position, unpaid and requires a minimum of 3-5 hours/month and a commitment through September 30, 2021. You must also reside in or be able to commute to the Metro Atlanta area when needed.
Better Foundations & Futures, Inc. is a non-profit organization located in the Metro Atlanta area. Our mission is focused on the advancement of minority men, providing training, development, education and health resources to those who are seeking to improve their overall quality of life. Our primary focus is centered around those who have been incarcerated and those who have emancipated out of the foster care system. Our vision is to see the lives of minority men flourish by creating better foundations and creating a mindset and lifestyle that will allow them give back to their own communities and the world, helping to improve the lives of other minority people, including women and children.

As a Committee Leader, you will help us to grow the organization by bringing your professional expertise and working with like-minded people who have a passion for our vision and mission. This is a position where you are involved in making executive decisions within your designated committee, helping us shape the next chapter of the organization and committed to helping us overcome challenges. This requires a serious commitment.
Expectations of Committee Leaders:

You must attend and actively participate in monthly Committee meetings.
*
You must read and respond to all emails/correspondences within 24-48 business hours.
*
You must complete and submit all expected reports timely.
*
You must make a meaning financial contribution to the organization annually.
*
You must be willing to give 3-5 hours/month towards the work of your particular Committee.
*
This position is an appointment through September 30, 2021.

After your video has been reviewed, if you are asked to move to the next step in the process, you will have a one-to-one interview with the Board President and/or an Officer of the Board of Directors.
- If you are offered a Committee Leadership position, you will immediately begin the onboarding process. The start date will be immediate.

Description
Better Foundations & Futures, Inc. was established in 2020 to face issues plaguing the advancement of our minority men. We focus on providing family connections and establishing/re-establishing solid foundations which in turn will set these men up for successful futures. Our vision is to see a better quality of life and opportunities for advancement for minority men. Our organization will provide services within our organizational programs to address needs for all minority men but specifically for focusing on those who have been incarcerated or emancipated from foster care. Our focus areas include the following:
