STW

We are looking for an experienced graphic designer to help design our 2020 Annual Report. Historically, our Annual Reports have been 16-20 pages including front cover and back. We are looking for someone with creative ideas and passion for this project to execute it and make our 2020 Annual Report the most eye-catching yet! You will be working directly with me (Ali, Communications Manager) as well as our hired Copywriter. Check out our previous annual reports at schooltheworld.org --> About Us --> Annual Reports.

  • You will work with myself and a copywriter directly. I already have an outline of the report, but would love to hear your creative ideas on how we can make School the World's 2020 Annual Report look unique compared to our others. We definitely like a fun theme or layout consistent throughout. Colors and graphics, yet still looking clean and professional.
  • The 2020 Annual Report will be a great asset to share with prospective donors and current supporters. We created so much innovation in 2020 that we'd like to share with our supporters to show the impact we are still making, even with getting hit hard financially by COVID-19.

About School the World

Mission Statement

School the World is a non-profit organization committed to solving extreme poverty through the power of education.

Description

Our strategy is to work at the grass-roots level and organize communities around education from early childhood through adolescence. On our journey to creating a more just world, our Global Citizenship Program amplifies our impact at home and abroad.

One very important part of the equation for long-term impact is our ability to partner with local governments. Every community we invest in, the local government donates the land, raw materials and/or labor to help with the school build. We supplement their resources with our expertise, resources and experience.

Our work is built on the belief that lasting change can only happen by:

  • creating a safe place for children to learn and thrive
  • securing physical and financial commitment from local government
  • deeply empowering parents through bi-monthly educational workshops
  • providing on-going training for teachers
  • supplying much needed books and learning materials
  • constantly measuring for improvement and success
  • nurturing global leaders through our Student Service Learning Program
