Mission Statement

Our mission to bring compassion and common ground to the media. We do not believe that political parties or the mainstream media accurately represent the average person. We hope to give people a voice to develop as a journalist and train people without traditional resources to be successful in the media world.

Description

The Commoner is a non-profit, non-partisan news outlet dedicated to reflecting the opinions and concerns of the common people. The voices of those who fall outside of elite - the majority - are often drowned out in a global media landscape dominated by big money and political polarization. The Commoner serves as a platform for these voices By covering local, national, and international news. We also promote sports journalism and community discussions. Lastly, we will eventually launch an educational project to teach young people how to become journalists for free.
