About the Cause: The Walk Planning Committee works throughout the year to recruit teams and sponsors, plan the Walk to End Alzheimer's event, and share the mission of the Alzheimer's Association. The committee meets once a month for an hour, but additional meetings may be needed throughout the month with teams, potential sponsors, Alzheimer's Association Staff, or other committee members. As the largest revenue source for the Alzheimer's Association mission, this walk is the culmination of yearlong fundraising.

Our event date is tentatively scheduled for Nov 6, 2021. Joining our committee is the perfect opportunity to learn more about event planning, non-profit fundraising, and leadership.

What We Ask of You:

  • Assist with a subcommittee focused on either Sponsorship, Team Recruitment, Team Retention, Marketing and Outreach, AIM/Advocacy, Mission, or Logistics.
  • Attend monthly meetings either in person or virtually (if applicable) that last approximately one hour.
  • Register a fundraising team for the Walk to End Alzheimer's event.
  • Have open communication with the Walk Manager and other committee members.
