Description: We are a non-profit learning, development and advocacy agency with one mission: empower and transform disenfranchised youth emerging leaders through learning resources, advocacy platforms and training opportunities. We desire to bring those on board who first recognize that he/she loves our mission, and the concept of what we are trying to do. We are looking to build a diverse team of volunteers who want to help others and are looking to collaborate with other team members to reach our common vision. Oak Manna Charity is seeking enthusiastic volunteer full-stack, front end, and/or back end web developers and coders who are easy to work with to join our coding team. We accept both experienced individuals and those who require training.

POTENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with the team to develop our BeLED app and Manna Donate app to serve disenfranchised youth emerging leaders user group.
  • Collaborate with other developers to increase quality of code, testing and release of software
  • Showcase how our Pilot Projects and Beta app version are performing in the marketplace

Description

Oak Manna Charity represents change as we bring our LED program to communities to serve the disadvantaged youth students and vocational youth. We look for strong partnerships with schools, corporate sponsors, entrepreneurs, vocational professionals, foreign organizations, and local community institutions. Together we get to make a difference and help give students a competitive advantage for their future success and vocational youth a means to making a living in a profession. By this we help bring individuals and families in the community out of poverty.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 18
  • Hours and length: 6 months-1 year and schedule is flexible to fit the applicant’s availability This position is unpaid but we are passionate about helping our volunteers gain valuable skills and connections. Willing to provide school credit.
  • SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Enthusiasm & a great attitude. Great love and passion for the concept of our mission. Willingness to be a team player. Tech stack examples Python, Ruby, Rails, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, GitHub, PostgreSQL.
