ORGANIZATION: Inside Health Institute

  • 6 people are interested

We are seeking a passionate, organized, and strategic thinker to create and operationalize a gratitude strategy for our organization.

Background:

  • Inside Health Institute established three new volunteer committees in January 2021 and recruited/onboarded dozens of new volunteers over the past several months.
  • Our volunteers are incredibly valuable and their support allows us to continue providing affordable and high-quality healthcare to low-income and marginalized communities.

Our Goals:

  • As our volunteer teams continue to grow, we want to promote volunteer retention through structured and intentional gratitude expressions.
  • We need an organized and long-term Gratitude Leader to help us create and implement a sustainable approach to ongoing volunteer appreciation efforts.
  • Our vision is to become one of the best organizations to work with and to have every one of our many volunteers feeling seen, appreciated, and uniquely valuable.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage an up-to-date list of all volunteers and their accomplishments
  • Connect directly with volunteers to express appreciation, collect their feedback, and learn how they'd like to be shown appreciation/recognition
  • Work with the Board President and Executive Director to create monthly schedules of specific, actionable gratitude tasks
  • Suggest new and inventive gratitude strategies that can be completed with minimal cost to the organization (e.g., LinkedIn reviews from leaders, etc.)
  • Ensuring that no volunteer is overlooked from gratitude activities so that each volunteer is recognized in some capacity

Required Skills:

  • Alignment with IHI's mission and values.
  • A passion for bringing affordable and high-quality holistic healthcare, counseling, and health education programs to low-income and marginalized communities.
  • A passion for improving employee/volunteer satisfaction and retention.
  • Proficient writing skills and email etiquette.
  • Proficient Excel skills and comfort using Google Suite products (e.g., Google Sheets, Google Docs, etc.).
  • Experience in Human Resources or related fields a plus.

Description

We are a nonprofit organization that offers affordable counseling, naturopathic medicine and community health education programs. Inside Health Institute (IHI) was founded in 2015 as an innovative and affordable model of healthcare. We provide high quality, holistic care specifically designed to be offered to at-risk, marginalized, uninsured or underinsured populations (seniors, veterans, people with disabilities, people of color). Our main office is in Bothell, WA and we serve populations in King and Snohomish Counties. Through sliding scale discounts we have given more than $30,000 in patient services. We have created unique community-based programs including the Get Fit Club, which supports participants with intellectual disabilities and their caregivers with a series of educational classes in a fun, community-building environment that focuses on health, nutrition, and exercise.
