IVC is looking for dedicated, trained and insured volunteers to assist elderly, non wheelchair disabled, and chronically ill individuals who need "Access to Healthcare" and other essential errands.
IVC has continued to be the life-line by providing these services during the COVID-19 pandemic. Every day our clients are able to live at home because someone cared enough to transport them to cancer treatments, dialysis, medical specialists, specialized testing as well as routine medical care. Along with medical transportation comes essential errands to the pharmacy and grocery store.
IVC's volunteer "workforce" drive their own vehicles to provide transportation with in our eight county service area of the Magic Valley located in Southern Idaho.
"Giving the gift of home" so our clients can live independently and safely in the comfort of their homes regardless of their lack of financial/transportation/family resources. IVC is providing a life-line to for our elders and people with disabilities so they can maintain a higher quality of life.

Mission Statement
Interlink Volunteer Caregivers (IVC), Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit, located in Twin Falls Idaho since 1997. IVC's mission is to provide volunteer transportation (FREE door through door) along with minor home safety modification (wheelchair ramps, handrails & grab bars) services to the elderly, (non-wheelchair) disabled, and chronically ill individuals. Empowering homebound with self-reliance and safety, so they can live independently, and safely in the comfort of their home regardless of their lack of financial/transportation/family resources. IVC uses a "workforce" of (trained and insured) volunteers who drive their own vehicles to provide transportation to access essential medical care. Our volunteers also provide minor home safety modifications to allow individuals more independence in their own homes along with helping the elderly to maintain a higher quality of life and self-reliance.
Description
IVC's "Access to Healthcare" transportation program continues to provide a safety net to the disadvantaged elderly, disabled, and chronically ill individuals to overcome the barriers to access care and other essential errands. IVC helps the most vulnerable to access their routine and life-saving medical appointments. Some of the specific goals are getting more individuals to cancer and dialysis treatments, preventive healthcare like bone-density scans, mammograms, medical procedures and testing, not counting the pharmacy and grocery stops.
IVC provided 3,963 client trips, with 102,246 reimbursable volunteer miles with over 7,266 volunteer hours in 2022. Our dedicated volunteers will continue to serve all communities in the eight Magic Valley counties in Southern Idaho. All communities of the Magic Valley will be stronger and healthier because of IVC's volunteer commitment.
Volunteer are also needed for home safety modification (wheelchair ramps, handrails and grab bar) services.
IVC has continued to be the life-line by providing volunteer transportation and home safety modification services. Our program's success is measured by the individuals we serve. Every day they are able to live at home is a huge benefit to the individual, their family, the health care system, and the community.
