Volunteer to help Sound the Alarm. Save a Life.
Registration is open! Click here to sign up for a training date and commit to joining other volunteers across the country in supporting Sound the Alarm.

Home fires claim seven lives every day, but you can help change that! This spring, volunteers will Sound the Alarm in at-risk communities by educating 1,000 people across Central California about home fire safety from the safety of their homes. Together, we’ll help families create an escape plan to practice their 2- minute drill, so they can safely escape a home fire. We’ll provide all the training you’ll need -available at multiple dates and times between March 23 and April 3- on how to teach others about home fire safety.

As a Sound the Alarm volunteer, you will schedule up to 5 calls with friends and family throughout our month of action April 8 through May 8, 2021 to make a difference by helping to make homes safer. Each virtual appointment takes just 20 minutes and provides potentially life-saving information to the people you care about most!

Although the work will be done individually, we want to create a sense of community and teamwork around Sound the Alarm in Central California. We’ll host virtual kickoff and closing activities, hold competitions to recognize star educators, and provide regular progress updates about our goals.

It’s through the efforts of ordinary people that we can do these extraordinary things. Join our movement to end home fires at bit.ly/stavolunteer
