Inspire the Next Generation of STEM Leaders

Inspire the next generation of STEM leaders!

The pathway to a STEM career is not yet equal for all. BIPOC youth face systemic barriers throughout their education and daily lives, resulting in the lack of diversity we see in STEM fields today,

CuriOdyssey is launching a new STEM Mentor volunteer program which pairs BIPOC youth with caring professionals who are working in a STEM related field in the U.S.

Mentors will meet virtually with a student two times each month, 4:30-5:15pm on a regularly scheduled weekday during the academic year, to explore STEM activities, listen and learn from each other’s experiences, and provide academic support for STEM classes.

STEM mentors of all cultures, gender identities and backgrounds are encouraged to apply. We aim to build a diverse mentor team so that students may be paired with folks who experienced the U.S. educational system and are best equipped to support diverse narratives in STEM career pathways. You can be a changemaker and empower students to amplify their voice and achieve their educational and career goals.

To apply or find out more, go to the Get Involved:Volunteer section of the CuriOdyssey website: www(dot)CuriOdyssey(dot)org. Application will be posted October 1.

Deadline to apply: December 1. Applications will be reviewed upon receipt. Interview, reference and background clearance will be required.
