Be a STEM Mentor

The pathway to a STEM career is not yet equal for all. BIPOC youth face systemic barriers throughout their education and daily lives, resulting in the lack of diversity we see in STEM fields today,

CuriOdyssey is launching a new STEM Mentor volunteer program which pairs BIPOC youth with caring BIPOC and women professionals who are passionate about their career in a STEM related field.

Mentors will meet virtually with a student two times each month during the academic year to explore STEM activities, listen and learn from each other’s experiences, and provide academic support for STEM classes. You can be a changemaker and empower students to amplify their voice and achieve their educational and career goals.

To apply, download the Mentor Application from the Get Involved:Volunteer section of the CuriOdyssey website: www(dot)CuriOdyssey(dot)org. Mentor Information Sessions are being held on April 14, 15 and 28. See website for more information.

Please apply by May 21, 2021. Interview, reference and background clearance will be required.
