Remotely support to our palliative patients and their families by providing phone calls twice a month to conduct assessment of needs, provide emotional support to patient/family as appropriate and report accordingly to assist the Palliative Team operate more effectively. This position requires sensitive, emotionally mature volunteers, who are comfortable talking to people over the phone and have demonstrated good listening skills and willingness to participate in on-going programs and monthly supervision. Monthly reports are required. Volunteer are asked to make a commitment of service with a minimum of 8 -15 hours a month as needed.
