This volunteer is responsible for developing effective storytelling techniques that share the stories of FFEN, local food shelves and the changing hunger relief system. This volunteer will be working on FFEN’s impact report’s to share food shelf engagement impact and outcome to food shelf leaders, volunteers, donors and other external audiences.
Story Creation: Meet with FFEN volunteers, partnering food shelves and sector peer organizations to gather background and insights to build into stories that will highlight FFEN’s impact on food shelf partners in the Community Impact Report.
Report Creation : Utilize quantitative data to build reports that present data in a cohesive and appealing way.
Comfortable talking with a wide variety of people to draw out and honor what makes each food shelf engagement unique
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, flexible work environment and take initiative to meet broad goals
Graphic design experience in Adobe Illustrator is a plus
Gain experience and refine your ability to communicate effectively with unique audiences volunteers, food shelves and peer organizations) while ensuring broader alignment with organizational brand and tone
Develop your ability to craft concise stories that convey meaning for FFEN’s Impact Report and enhance storytelling tone that honors the important work being done in the field by local food shelves
Time Requirements & Schedule:
Total Time Requirement: 2-3 hours per week
Time Commitment: 4 month (or longer)
