HEALTH: COVID Vaccine Clinic Pre-Screening Volunteer

Support veterans in receiving their COVID-19 vaccinations. As a volunteer you will perform COVID-19 primary screening at La Jolla main entrance to support off-tour and after hours COVID-19 vaccine clinic hours. Training will be provided.

With your help, the VA San Diego will be able to more quickly serve their veteran clients.

Please note a new requirement implemented by the VA La Jolla Director for all volunteers: it is now a requirement for all volunteers be vaccinated before being assigned to any positions within the VA San Diego Healthcare System, for their own safety and the safety of our VA staff and patients alike.

Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes

Shifts: In-person on weekends (shifts are flexible)

Time Commitment: Volunteers are needed as soon as possible and are requested to make at least a 3-4 week commitment.

Requirements: Volunteers must have good interpersonal skills, as well as, be confident and strong enough to enforce facility entrance criteria.

Physical Requirements: Able to stand for long periods of time

Note: This opportunity is being coordinated by Vets' Community Connections on behalf of the VA Medical Center in La Jolla.

Volunteer in the Community, in partnership with HandsOn San Diego, works to promote volunteer needs to the wider community knowing that our civilian and veteran populations welcome avenues to offer their support.
