Are you interested in DevOps and infrastructure, but never have the chance to do it at work?

Are you doing DevOps professionally, but most of your work is maintaining existing pipelines rather than building something new from your own ideas?

Are you interested in shaping the digital infrastructure of a fast-growing nonprofit while enhancing your own knowledge in cloud and DevOps?

Join us today to volunteer a few hours per week with one of our 6 part-time DevOps-related projects, or, if you are looking for a more managerial role, as a Lead DevOps Engineer in our management team!

At BfE Technology, we are committed to pursuing industry-standard tools and practices in our cloud infrastructure and DevOps pipelines. Operating with the generous nonprofit budget given by various cloud providers, our volunteers in DevOps and infrastructure strive to support our unique development needs and scale our impact. Upon completion of your project, there will be the opportunity to apply to be a Lead DevOps Engineer if you want to stay involved with our initiative in the long term.

We currently manage simple DevOps pipelines built with Dockers, GitHub Actions, Terraform and Azure Cloud (looking to deploy some applications in AWS soon).

We are always on the lookout for eager DevOps talents willing to volunteer a few hours per week to help us improve the pipeline, as well as someone to join our management team as a Lead DevOps Engineer (also voluntary with about 5 hours commitment per week only). You may apply to one of our projects at https://opps.bridgesforenterprise.com/global/technology/DevOps-Project/, email us at technology.recruitment@bridgesforenterprise.com for general inquiries, or watch our virtual event at our YouTube channel to see who we are https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtdLTxjU63w!

More about the organisation

Bridges for Enterprise ( bridgesforenterprise.com) provides free incubation services in consulting, finance, legal and technical advisory to support social enterprise startups in developing countries. To date, we have supported 94 startups in 30+ countries through our programme with the help of 300+ students and professionals from US, UK, Singapore, Canada, Netherlands and more.

BfE Technology ( tech.bridgesforenterprise.com) builds digital products that automate our internal operation to allow us to work efficiently at a global scale, and that facilitate resource-sharing within different stakeholders in our programme. We are also looking to build one of the first digital platforms open for social enterprise startups in the developing world to pool resources together, where our internal learning resources will also be made publicly available.

Mission Statement

We collaborate with early-stage social entrepreneurs in the developing world to scale business ventures and empower local communities.

Description

Bridges for Enterprise (BfE) is a non-profit that provides pro bono advisory services to social innovators in the developing world. Through our flagship Incubation Programme, we support early-stage businesses with existing revenue and a clear mission to create social impact for their beneficiaries. The services are free of charge - and always will be - as we don’t believe that money should ever be a barrier for social entrepreneurs to receive additional support in scaling their ventures.

BfE is run by a global community of purpose-driven professionals and students. As a non-profit established in 2015, we expanded rapidly to operate from five student chapters and developed a client base spanning over 30 countries. We collaborate alongside a growing network of over 200 professional mentors who provide strategic guidance to chapter teams and assistance to startups.
