Are you passionate about cyber security, but have limited chances to flex the muscles at work?

Are you doing information security professionally, but hope that your skills can deliver a greater social impact around the world?

Are you interested in securing the digital infrastructure and coding pipeline of a fast-growing nonprofit, safeguarding important data for hundreds of social enterprise startups around the world?

If you have a few hours to spare every week, consider applying to BfE Technology today as the Information Security Lead!

As a rapidly growing global nonprofit with a large network of entrepreneurs, professionals and students, we are developing and maintaining web services that handle a large influx of confidential data on a day-to-day basis. We are looking for an Information Security Lead to monitor the IT security risk across our tech stack, and design best practices to be enforced on developers and non-tech members in accordance with GDPR and our data protection commitment to our entrepreneurs.

We currently manage simple DevOps pipelines built with Dockers, GitHub Actions, Terraform and Azure Cloud (looking to deploy some applications in AWS soon). Our websites are built with WordPress PHP, GitHub Pages and Django-React.

You may apply to the role at https://opps.bridgesforenterprise.com/global/technology/Information-Security-Lead/, email us at technology@bridgesforenterprise.com for general inquiries on ways to get involved, or register for our virtual info event on 17/18 April here https://forms.gle/ct2BGYZFyYyWQ37m9 to meet us "in person"!

Mission Statement

We collaborate with early-stage social entrepreneurs in the developing world to scale business ventures and empower local communities.

Description

Bridges for Enterprise (BfE) is a non-profit that provides pro bono advisory services to social innovators in the developing world. Through our flagship Incubation Programme, we support early-stage businesses with existing revenue and a clear mission to create social impact for their beneficiaries. The services are free of charge - and always will be - as we don’t believe that money should ever be a barrier for social entrepreneurs to receive additional support in scaling their ventures.

BfE is run by a global community of purpose-driven professionals and students. As a non-profit established in 2015, we expanded rapidly to operate from five student chapters and developed a client base spanning over 30 countries. We collaborate alongside a growing network of over 200 professional mentors who provide strategic guidance to chapter teams and assistance to startups.
