Environmental Programme Coordinator
ORGANIZATION: ETIV do Brasil
Please visit the new page to apply.
The Environmental Coordinator (EC) is an absolutely critical member of the ETIV team. It is the duty of the environmental coordinator to help identify ways to promote and ensure increased and sustainable environmental conservation/development in and around Itacaré, while also leading our environmental education program and helping us to solidify/expand our partnerships with local actors.
The Environmental Coordinator (EC) will work in close cooperation with our Director and/or Operations Manager, and he/she must help us to further develop our environmental education curriculum. We use Climate Change as a central structural concept from which we develop lessons plans and participative activities that aim at developing conscious and responsible environmental activism in our community. Furthermore, the Environmental Coordinator (EC) must have not only a critical understanding of our current issues, but also the ability to further develop our curriculum, projects and activities in such a way that we increase our positive impact and bring even more social-environmental justice to our community.

Mission Statement
To support youth development and environmental conservation in Brazil by connecting volunteers and interns with local communities.
Description
ETIV is deeply focused on youth development and environmental conservation in Brazil. As a result, one of our main goals is to develop a new generation of local youth leaders that actively care for each other, their community, the environment and all sentient beings. This is the main avenue by which we work to achieve our Mission and Vision (highlighted below).
Through all of our community projects, we encourage volunteers to teach and model some of the core values necessary to create and maintain healthy and prosperous communities. This includes mutual respect, cultural appreciation, caring for each other, speaking the truth, acting honestly and transparently, sharing and being generous (as opposed to stealing or taking things that don’t belong to you) and actively caring for the environment and all sentient beings.
