Come join the APU team as we restart the school this year! Your job will be to further the mission of the University by providing (1) leadership and management in obtaining external funding, resources, and support, (2) institutional effectiveness, research, and strategic planning, and (3) identification and assistance to donors for achieving their philanthropic goals vis-à-vis the University. You'll be a member of the university senior administration and budget committee.

The correlation between education and improved life circumstances is obvious. We have an opportunity to help the poor and disenfranchised in Denver and fulfill the Great Commission along the way. For those who look with dismay at current political unrest in our nation and violence in so many of our cities, APU offers a chance to do something concrete, a way to take actionable steps to address those legitimate concerns in a real and measurable way. You can make a specific difference in the life of one or more people who need your help with this exciting service opportunity.

About American Pathways University

Mission Statement

We are an urban dispersed "college without walls," passionate to introduce students to the world of ideas, prepare graduates for the world of work, and inspire alumni for a life well-lived. We seek to fulfill Christ's Great Commission (Matt 28:16-20) by bringing affordable and accredited higher education to underserved communities.

Description

American Pathways University was inspired by a 1999 news broadcast of an Atlanta conference of U.S. urban minority leaders discussing the problem of inner-city public education. "If we are going to solve the problem of failed public education in our core cities, we are going to have to do it ourselves and pay for it ourselves." On September 10, 1999, seven inner-city Denver organizations met and entered into a compact to establish an affordable, accessible, and credible higher education institution for the city, of the city, and the by city. APU seeks to address underserved resident's educational needs so that they will enjoy the benefits of liberal arts education and career preparation, and that inner-city neighborhoods, businesses, and organizations will experience enhanced indigenous community resources and leadership.
