We are The Animal Cause. We are a national non-profit animal welfare volunteer organization in severe need of virtual volunteers to help us save animals.
At the moment we are solely focused on saving animals from euthanasia in the shelter system. We share animals across social media, which takes a ton of virtual volunteers; in fact we will never have enough to share them all.
Statistically, it is estimated there is a constant average of 6-11 million (range is due to differing sources) animals in the shelter system. What a range! Why isn't this more specific/exact? Did you think that when you read that? Good, we want to know...
In the meantime we are in the trenches trying to dig out.
Our efforts don't stop at there! Nay, nay! We connect anyone interested in helping an animal they see to the shelter; offering further assistance with finding fosters and/or arranging volunteer transport.
We hope therefore, to make out of state adoptions more accessible, feasible and normal.
The story doesn't end there. We unite animal advocate so we don't compete with any entity (organizations, companies, rescues, etc.) in animal welfare. If given the opportunity we support others' efforts.
With all of these efforts and more, we need anyone thinking they can fit and contribute. By the way, we aren't new to the scene. The Animal Cause has been in existence since 2013, conceptually since 2009.
We do have job descriptions but we have tons of need so send us your experience, your interests and your animal advocate passions.
We need people wanting to make a difference. Is that you? Why donate your time to us? We aren't particularly unique or special against anyone else in animal welfare but we do hope you donate your time somewhere. Animals need us to just do something! It's Time!
