The GardenShare program allows gardeners to donate their garden's surplus to a local collection site in their neighborhood that takes the produce directly to a facility serving the food insecure in Utah by turning the produce into meals! There are two ways to get involved! Join us as a gardener that donates surplus produce grown in your garden. The GardenShare bins are placed at your participating neighbors’ homes. Check our website, wastelesssolutions.org, for drop off locations nearest you! Bins are picked up weekly and donated to community kitchens and other like-minded organizations that dedicate themselves to feeding the food insecure in Utah. You can also join as a collection site that allows coolers and produce bins to be placed on your property for local gardeners to drop off their excess produce. Collection sites work together with Food Rescue volunteers who pick up the surplus produce weekly and deliver it to receiving agencies.
