ORGANIZATION: INTEGRATED RESOURCES INSTITUTE

  • 5 people are interested

Hello!

We are a non profit dedicating to the inclusion of people with disabilities into their communities. We believe that employment for people with disabilities is crucial in making true inclusion happen.

We are currently supporting a gentleman who has a unique gift/talent. We wanted to be able to showcase this gift/talent through a video. We took a video of him but are in need of turning this into a visual/video resume. We think this will assist him in getting employed as he has a hard time with traditional interviews.

Looking for help!

Mission Statement

We believe that people with disabilities should LIVE, WORK and PLAY in integrated community settings. Where people work, live and play should be based on individual choice. We support and advocate that our client’s wages are commensurate with non-disabled co-workers. Sub-minimum wage is inhumane.

Description

Integrated Resources Institute (IRI) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the full inclusion of persons with disabilities into their community.

Through its MentorWorks service, IRI has facilitated over 20,000 community job placements for persons with disabilities in the US and Australia. IRI has been awarded several local, state, federal and international grants to help individuals with disabilities get working.

Through its Empowered Living service, IRI has been able to support individuals with disabilities to find apartments and live in their communities. This program was developed because several of our IRI clients were on the verge of homelessness and needed services.

IRI is a state and federally registered 501(c)(3) non-profit charity governed by a volunteer board. IRI also provides Supported Living, Educational Consultation and Professional Development services and consultation.

IRI was founded by Steve Zivolich in Orange County, CA in 1984. Since that time he has received local, state, national and international recognition for his leadership and research efforts for the integration and employment of persons with significant disabilities. He currently serves as the volunteer CEO for the IRI Board of Directors.
