Disaster Action Team (DAT) Duty Officers dispatch and provide leadership guidance to a Red Cross Disaster Action Team to meet with the clients who are in need and manage the relief effort.
They assess the situation and deploy the most appropriate resources to support efforts such as
initial casework;
recovery planning,
canteen services,
sheltering, and
disaster assessment.
