During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
We are looking for bilingual Cantonese/English volunteers to serve Cantonese-speaking communities in Oregon, and potentially throughout the US. Volunteers will be tasked to do translation and interpretation, run Torus social media specifically for Cantonese speakers, provide access to resources for Cantonese-speaking communities, be a Torus liaison, recruitment of English learners, and more. Due to COVID19, everything will be done online.
Volunteers do not have to participate in all Torus Ambassador roles.

Torus bridges gaps between people and communities by facilitating transformative experiences of language and culture sharing.
Torus was founded in 2020 by a refugee who was born in Kabul, Afghanistan, raised in Moscow, Russia, and lives in Portland, Oregon. Torus bridges gaps between people and communities by facilitating transformative experiences of language and culture exchange. We do this work through our seven programs. We believe in connectivity and a sense of belonging to a community for immigrants and refugees, as well as anyone who has been living in the US for generations.
We'll work with your schedule.
This is a Virtual Opportunity with no fixed address.
