Who We Are
LifeSmart Education is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that enhances the availability of nontraditional educational classes & resources for underserved youth and communities, helping those who need unwavering, positive life management skills. Youth aren't born knowing the life skills that we wish they did, they must be taught and molded into productive members of society. LifeSmart Education teaches youth how to be socially and emotionally successful. We enable our students to achieve their highest potential as law abiding global citizens.
Why volunteer with LifeSmart Education?
You will make a difference and get to use your skills/talents to help under-resourced youth. You will be trained virtually on the best tutoring practices. It is an excellent chance for someone to gain experience tutoring and contribute to achieving the mission of a small nonprofit. Earn an endorsement on LinkedIn and/or a referral after 3 months.
Remote Volunteer Tutor Position
We are in need of virtual volunteer tutors that enjoy working with kids and encourage positive development.
The children you will be working with are between ages 5 to 15 years old.
Tutors are needed for all subjects (Reading, Math, Science, English).
Mentoring hours will vary depending on the availability of the students.
Virtual training will be provided through Trilogy Mentors.
Requirements
- High school graduate or higher education level (preferred)
- High school students (Junior/Senior) with a GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Works well with students and is reliable, friendly, and patient
- Computer literate (Must be able to navigate software program)
- Tutor 1 hour per week (more if available)
- Minimum 3 months commitment

Description
Diversity has been an area of concern in international education for many years, Global Diversity Abroad, our sister company, mission is to present the opportunity for historically over-looked high school students with the possibility to learn on an international platform. This program is specially designed to meet the needs of minority and at-risk youth, guiding them through a course of study that will expose them to drastic life changing experiences abroad.
Our goal is to formulate a preventative social mindset where students are exposed to new ideas, build positive relationships, develop confidence and experience new challenges. This is our model to empower young people to be globally-minded individuals by transforming their lives.
