Who We Are

LifeSmart Education is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that enhances the availability of nontraditional educational classes and resources for underserved youth and communities. We help those who need unwavering, positive life management skills. Youth aren't born knowing the life skills that we wish they did; they must be taught and molded into productive members of society. At LifeSmart Education, we teach youth how to be socially and emotionally successful, and enable them to achieve their highest potential as law-abiding global citizens.

Please note the first week is a trial period to see if the volunteer position is a good fit for you and LifeSmart Education. Virtual training on TutorBird platform will be provided.

Role Description

We are in need of virtual volunteer tutors that enjoy working with kids and encourage positive development.

Tutors are needed for Math. The tutor will be working with students that are at various levels of education.

Mentoring hours will vary depending on the availability of the students afterschool (Eastern Standard Time Zone).

Requirements

• High school graduate or higher education level (preferred)
  
• High school students (Senior) with a GPA of 3.5 or higher
• Works well with students and is reliable, friendly, and patient
• Computer literate and/or willing to learn
• Tutor 1 to 2 hours per week based on student need
• Minimum 3 months commitment
