The Seacoast Squadron of New Hampshire Wing, Civil Air Patrol is looking for enthusiastic people to become part of the all-volunteer Auxiliary of the United States Air Force.
Volunteer members of the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) work in a variety of specialty areas and tasks that help our organization function and grow.
Some duty positions available in local units include: photographer, copy editor, social media coordinator, youth mentors, logistics management, STEM teachers, adult training specialists, personnel & HR functions, emergency operations coordinators and trainers, military training instructors, radio communications, and financial management.
If you’re up for the task, CAP offers ordinary citizens unique training and service opportunities.
The Seacoast Squadron is training and preparing its members in the skills necessary to meet our mission of providing important services to our communities in a time of need:
The Seacoast Squadron meets each Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Pease ANGB, Bldg 252 (contact us for access). Visit our unit website at https://seacoast.cap.gov/.
Qualifications:
- An interest and desire to serve your community;
- Age 18 or older;
- Able to pass a background check.
We invite you to visit a weekly squadron meeting. You'll get a chance to meet some of our members who will discuss the organization, provide you with information and answer any questions you might have about the Civil Air Patrol. Mission Statement
The Civil Air Patrol performs missions for America, trains youth in aviation, leadership and character, and promotes aerospace and science education through resources for educators and programs for its members.
Description
CAP is a volunteer organization with an aviation-minded membership that includes people from all backgrounds, lifestyles, and occupations. Originally formed in 1941, today it performs three Congressionally-assigned key missions:
Emergency Services, which includes search and rescue (by air and ground), disaster relief operations, communications, and homeland security missions along with operating the largest fleet of single-engine aircraft in the world;
Aerospace Education provides aviation related materials and activities for CAP members, educators, K-12 students and the general public in such areas as space, rocketry, aviation engineering and Science Technology Engineering & Math (STEM) subjects; and
Cadet Programs, directed at aviation-minded teenagers with a framework where they can learn about leadership and aerospace and promote physical fitness and community service.
