Volunteer Advisory and/or Committee Member

We are searching for enthusiastic advisory and/or committee members to help support the Board of directors of a dynamic mental health and women empowerment focused organization, Ready to Empower (RTE). Volunteers will advise and assist the directors in specific areas (see below) and help with general promotion of Ready to Empower as to support the organization’s mission and needs. This opportunity is perfect for someone with a skill set or expertise they would like to share to give back, but may not have the time to commit to regular Board meetings and operational tasks.

• Mission: To provide developing nonprofit organizations with the necessary tools to support at-risk women to restore hope and self-reliance.
• Vision: To see a world where all women can have hope and be self-reliant.
• Philosophy: RTE’s philosophy of empowerment is based on the famous proverb "Give a [Wo]man a fish and you feed her for a day. Teach a "[Wo]man to fish and you feed her for a lifetime."

Expectations of Advisory and/or Committee Member

• Share your wonderful talents with Ready to Empower
• Attend and participate in committee meetings.
• Encouraged to attend special events
• Be alert to community concerns that can be addressed by Ready to Empower’s mission, objectives, and programs.
• Help communicate and promote Ready to Empower’s mission and programs to the community.
• Become familiar with Ready to Empower’s finances, budget, and financial/resource needs.
• Understand the policies and procedures of Ready to Empower.
