Bring the whole family to keep Belle Isle Beautiful on the third Saturday of each month, May - October. Cleanups take place from 9:30am - 12pm and meet at the Belle Isle Aquarium. Kayaks welcome.
These are free, family-friendly events, welcoming volunteers of all ages! No RSVP needed. Please dress for the weather predicted that day and bring your own work gloves and reusable water bottle.
The dates for Saturday Public Cleanups are as follows:
April 24th: Belle Isle Spring Cleanup
September 18th: International Coastal Cleanup Day
TIPS AND COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS
Individuals who can bring their own kayaks are encouraged to do so. Please email Genevieve Nowak at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have a kayak or another water vessel that you can bring to the cleanup.
Bags and gloves will be provided.
Our cleanup will follow all CDC recommendations that allow us all to remain safe.
Please bring your reusable water bottle and stay hydrated. Please wear closed-toe shoes or boots and dress for the weather prediction of the day. Due to the nature of being outdoors, consider bringing your sunblock and bug spray.
