ORGANIZATION: Quality Parks

As a volunteer community scientist for Quality Parks you'll be out in the field taking notes and photos of a Long Island based park or natural area. Your don't need to be an expert, just spend time observing, monitoring, and completing our online form. We use this information you collect to advance park needs and improve environmental literacy.

Review the questions here at: https://www.qualityparks.org/review-a-park.html . When ready, submit your answers. We will review and may ask additional clarifying questions. Upon sign off from us, receive 4 hours of community service for time well spent.

P.S. You can do this on a group event, during a hike or other recreational activity.

NOTEWORTHY - Let us know if you have any deadlines.
And please adhere to CDC and local guidelines as recommended.

Mission Statement

We are a professional organization sponsoring projects to improve both business and environmental conditions by balancing social, economic and environmental concerns. We work to sustain recreational and economic needs while conserving and restoring the Earth's cultural and ecological biodiversity. We cooperate with and directly support park and protected area managers. We also disseminate information, develop and provide experiential learning opportunities, and support efforts designed to stimulate, encourage, educate, and involve local municipalities and the general public in good stewardship practices. Quality Parks is a federally registered 501(c)(3).

Description

With more than 20 years of experience to improve public lands stewardship, we've initiated many projects and programs. Our goal is improve environmental education and conservation throughout Long Island.
