Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Boston

Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Boston’s (JBBBS) Friend 2 Friend Adults with Disabilities Program matches volunteer friends 1:1 with adults with mild to moderate disabilities. JBBBS is seeking a volunteer (age 25-35) for Ben, a creative and expressive 30 year old adult with disabilties who lives in Somerville. Ben is verbal and speaks with words in simple sentences. He also communicates in more complex sentences through use of a voice device. Ben is artistic and creates beautiful works of digital art, enjoys going to many different museums, and listens to music, preferably Broadway showtunes. He is looking for a friend between the ages of 25-35 who can provide a mutual relationship and friendship. The volunteer would receive some training in Autism and facilitated communication. Ben has someone to drive him to meetups. All applicants welcome regardless of religion, ethnicity or background.
