Every October, Lemons of Love hosts the Pink Lemonade 5k in Mt. Prospect, IL. This signature fundraiser not only supports our mission, but also brings our community together. We are looking for individuals to help with event logistics, volunteer recruitment, sponsorship and marketing. Time commitment is 5-10 hours from March to October, with additional hours as the event approaches. Our 2021 Pink Lemonade 5k Date is October 3, 2021 in Mt. Prospect IL.
Lemon of Love's mission is to share packages and make moments for anyone impacted by cancer.
Description
Lemons of Love’s Chemo Care Packages are filled with quality products with a purpose. Designed to help ease the short-term side effects of treatment, these packages also offer strength and support to keep patients moving forward. We also share Kids’ Holiday Care Packages and a specially-designed Veterans’ Chemo Care Package. Most of our packages are funded through philanthropic support and delivered as gifts to oncology centers. In 2018, we opened the Lemons of Love Cancer Resource Center in Mt. Prospect, IL to provide free wellness programs and build community for those impacted by cancer-including survivors, caregivers and loved ones.
