The Compassus Volunteer Companion Program is a one-on-one visiting program for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia. Volunteer companions are matched with a person with the disease and visit once a week, during their preferred time, to listen and converse as a friend with empathy and encouragement. Engagement in meaningful moments and activity that are particularly suited to each Hospice individual.
Volunteers are expected to complete Background checks, a TB test, and training.
