Role Summary
The Education Director plays a vital role in developing and maintaining our educational programs by recruiting art instructors, introducing them to our space, and guiding them through the class development process. This position is also responsible for collecting and organizing instructor details to ensure compliance with tax and administrative requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively seek and recruit talented art instructors across various mediums and disciplines.
- Introduce potential instructors to the Maple Grove Arts Center, showcasing the space and its resources.
- Collect and maintain necessary instructor information for tax compliance and administrative purposes.
- Guide instructors through the process of developing and scheduling classes within our system, ensuring alignment with the center’s goals and policies.
- Collaborate with instructors to create a diverse schedule of classes for adults and youth.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to promote upcoming classes and workshops.
- Maintain regular communication with instructors to address their needs and ensure successful program delivery.
- Monitor the success of educational programs and gather feedback to improve offerings.
Ideal Candidate
- Passionate about art education and community engagement.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with instructors and stakeholders.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with experience in administrative tasks or compliance processes.
- Creative thinker with a collaborative mindset, eager to develop a wide range of educational opportunities.
- Experience in education, program coordination, or arts administration is a plus but not required.

Housing both gallery and studio space with a sought after downtown Maple Grove location, the Maple Grove Arts Center has been serving and sharing art with its community since 2009.
Several community groups utilize our space for meetings and shows. We have classes for children, seniors, beginning, intermediate and beyond!
MGAC has 6 -7 gallery shows per year. This gives our member and artist's many chances to exhibit and share their work.
