About the Center for Contemplative Research (CCR):
The Center for Contemplative Research in Crestone, Colorado, has been founded by Dr. Alan Wallace with the blessings of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Our purpose is to join contemplative and scientific inquiry to create a new science of consciousness. We provide a conducive environment at our hermitage for deep contemplative study and practice, while collaborating with scientists on studies exploring the potentials of human consciousness and the cultivation of genuine happiness. We believe that this work is essential to advance knowledge, wisdom and well-being - helping to restore balance where it has been lost, in the lives of individuals and in the global community as a whole.
Job overview:
Most of what CCR is accomplishing is done through the kindness of volunteers who engage with each other remotely on teams. The teams meet to plan and execute the strategies that have been developed to manifest the vision stated above. A team leader organizes this and directs the general team support members in responding to defined responsibilities. Everyone works collegially but individual tasks usually relate one’s strengths and interests.

Mission Statement
In order to catalyze a revolution in the mind sciences and nurture a renaissance in the world’s great contemplative traditions, the Center for Contemplative Research provides a conducive environment, combined with sustained training in rigorous methods of contemplative practice, to enable expert meditators to make replicable discoveries about the nature and potentials of consciousness, while engaging in collaborative research with cognitive and physical scientists.
