Our annual bike ride - Pedal to Empower - is coming up in Chicago's North Shore on June 5 and we are looking for volunteer photographer(s) and videographer(s) to help us capture the event.
Saturday, June 5
Event: Pedal to Empower
Location: Community House Winnetka - 620 Lincoln Ave, Winnetka, IL 60093
Time: 7am - 1pm (or at the conclusion of the event)
We are looking for volunteers to ideally help for the full duration of the event. If you aren’t available for the full time, that is ok but at minimum we hope for a 3 hour commitment from all volunteers.
Volunteer Duties: We invite you to join us by donating your time and photography or videography skills for the event. Pictures help us tell the story of who we are and what we do.
It is required that photographers provide their own digital camera or video camera.
Come join our team of dedicated staff and volunteers! All volunteers receive a WBR t-shirt, lunch at the event and our heartfelt appreciation. Please reach out if interested. If you prefer to attend the event in lieu of volunteering, registration info can also be found via the link above.

Founded in 2005, World Bicycle Relief mobilizes people through The Power of Bicycles(r). World Bicycle Relief accomplishes its mission by distributing specially designed, high-quality bicycles through philanthropic and social enterprise programs. These purpose designed bicycles are built to withstand the challenging terrain and conditions in rural, developing areas. Entrepreneurs use the bicycles to increase productivity and profits. Students attend class more regularly and improve their academic performances. And, health care workers visit more patients in less time, providing better, more consistent care. World Bicycle Relief also promotes local economies and long-term sustainability by assembling bicycles locally and training field mechanics to service the bicycles. To date, World Bicycle Relief has delivered over 360,000 bicycles and trained over 1,700 field mechanics in Africa, Southeast Asia and South America. World Bicycle Relief is a registered nonprofit in the USA, Canada, U.K., Germany and Australia, and has assembly facilities in Kenya, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi and Angola.
