We’re looking for a digital marketer who will help us increase awareness of our brand, grow donations and increase users through social, search, video, and email marketing channels.

This is an amazing opportunity to work directly with executive leadership in a start-up, digital-first organization. You will gain real-world skills, grow your resume and network and create a career path for yourself and real positive change for our company's customers.

Duties and responsibilities

The Digital Marketer will:

  • Report to Executive Director (former experienced digital marketing executive) and work with the Board of Directors as core "start up team"
  • Help create campaign plans and messaging for social media, email, content/blog, and paid search campaigns
  • Help create content for social media and email campaigns as needed
  • Learn how to use and manage email marketing tools to disseminate content
  • Create and maintain a content calendar
  • Monitor digital campaign efforts through Google Analytics
  • Track specific digital campaign channel efforts within each respective channel (ex. Reporting on Google Ads CTR, Facebook reach etc.)
  • Learn and optimize digital experience with SEO (web and video)
  • Stay up to date and informed on new social media trends and adapt accordingly
  • Ensure proper messaging is being executed online
  • Identify leaders and influencers (internal/external) and engage them in brand activities
  • Assist with website copywriting, proofing, and updating as needed

Requirements

We are open to individuals from all educational backgrounds, and will help train the ideal candidate in digital marketing principles as needed. The ideal candidate will have at least the following qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of Photoshop, Canva, or similar
  • Basic knowledge of social media marketing
  • Basic knowledge of a social media marketing dashboard (Hootsuite, SproutSocial, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Google Drive for content management
  • Dedication to professional development
  • Ability to take initiative, employ good judgment, and manage projects from beginning to end
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Exceptional ability to manage details
  • Ability to self-organize and project manage
  • Ability to meet deadlines and to anticipate next steps or needs
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Be available for max 20 hours a week (will work with individual on availability and hours are flexible)
