ORGANIZATION: Catholic Charities Atlanta

Catholic Charites Atlanta’s (CCA) Family Stabilization Program (FSP) is seeking volunteers to assist with the pre-screening of potential clients who contact the CCA help line. This includes calling potential clients back and determining their eligibility for financial assistance. This will help streamline the intake and referral process and enable the Intake & Referral Specialists to more quickly connect resources to those who are in need of assistance. This individual will also research housing in the area to create a list of HUD pricing-approved options and conduct housing site inspections with another volunteer or staff member. This individual may also help welcome clients to our Chamblee office.

The information/referral phone line and email offers assistance for anyone in the community to identify resources such as housing/shelter, food pantries, rent and utility assistance, etc.

Volunteers are needed for approximately 4+ hours per week during office hours, which are Monday through Friday between 8 am and 4 pm. CCA is flexible based on volunteer’s schedule within our business hours.
