The ABQ Habitat Repair Program is in need of volunteers to help with upcoming home repair projects. Our repair program provides home preservation repairs to alleviate safety issues and restore the appearance of home exteriors. The repair program works diligently alongside all ABQ homeowners and SouthValley Mainstreet with a focus on repairs that improve quality of life and keeping low income senior homeowners safe. Volunteers will assist with but not limited to: Put up fencing, yardwork, patch stucco, painting beams, staining, landscaping, sanding, caulking, trash removal, etc.
Volunteers can sign up for one or more dates based on your availability. Snack and refreshments are provided. We will be heightening all Covid guidelines with temperature checks, hand sanitizer on site, mask requirements, and social distancing by limiting the number on site.
Let's enjoy the warm weather together while giving back to the community
Youth 14+ are welcome to attend with a parent/guardian 21+ (a special waiver is needed, so please reach out to the volunteer manager) Youth will be limited to light duty and unable to use/handle ladders, power tools, any machinery.

Description
Greater Albuquerque Habitat for Humanity is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical, Christian housing organization. We work in partnership with people in need to build decent, affordable housing. Our vision is that no one in the Greater Albuquerque area will live in substandard housing. Since 1987, we have built more than 177 homes in the Albuquerque area, all of which we could not have done without the generosity of hundreds of volunteers every year. Volunteers are needed to help with everything from construction to office to ReStore assignments.

- Volunteers will be on site for up to 4 hours each day and volunteers are welcome to choose the number of days they wish to help
- Masks are required. Temperature checks upon arrival, Dress code is closed toed shoes/boots are fine too, worn clothing (as you may be painting and will get dirty)
