Help evaluate homes for free repairs
Rebuilding Together North Jersey
Rebuilding Together North Jersey is a local nonprofit that makes free critical home repairs for low-income homeowners in Bergen and Passaic County, NJ. We receive dozens of applications each year but due to funding restraints, we can not help all that apply.
That's where YOU come in. We need volunteers to visit and evaluate the homes to make sure that we choose the most needy and deserving candidates.
Some construction or home repair knowledge is appreciated but not necessary because training is provided if needed.
The evaluations can be done on your schedule. Each evaluation usually takes between one and two hours. You can do as many or as few as your schedule allows. The locations will vary by applicant but will only be within Bergen County or Passaic County in NJ.
Volunteer will need a vehicle and either a phone with a camera or a digital camera to document the evaluation with photos.
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.

Together we transform the lives of low-income homeowenrs by improving the safety and health of their homes and revitalizing our communities.
Rebuilding Together North Jersey partners with the community and skilled labor to supply volunteers that spend rewarding days doing repairs and modifications to homes and non-profit facilities, allowing people to live in homes that are safe, healthy, and accessible. Volunteers are also needed for committees and fundraising activities, including Trivia Night and our Holiday House Tour.
