Are you interested in providing excellent customer service to a community of seniors? ACC Senior Services' mission is to promote the general welfare and enhance the quality of life for our community by providing culturally sensitive health and social services for older adults. The volunteer(s) in this position have an active hand in implementing this mission by connecting callers and visitors with the appropriate resources offered by our organization.
Here's what you'll do in a typical shift:
Abide by and enforce all COVID-19 policies of ACC Senior Services.
Answer phones and direct calls, or take messages as needed.
Answer the door for visitors, and help connect them with the appropriate person or department.
Provide a welcoming, helpful, and inclusive environment for all visitors.
Some skills that will help you in this volunteer role are:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to work independently and take direction.
Schedule & Length of Commitment
We ask our volunteers to commit to a regular schedule for at least 3 months. Our office is open Monday - Friday, and shifts are available for this position in the morning (8:30am - 12:30pm) or afternoon (12:30pm - 4:30pm).

Requirements to Volunteer at ACC's Welcome Center:
All volunteers are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Volunteers in this position are required to complete an online background check through Backgrounds Online. ACC pays for all volunteer background checks, and cannot complete background checks on any individual without their express consent. No volunteer is denied solely on the grounds of criminal conviction; but the date, nature, and relevance of the offense to the position assigned may be considered.
All volunteers are required to watch two (2) training videos, each video is approximately 20 - 25 minutes long. The first video covers the responsibilities of Elder Abuse Prevention and Mandated Reporting, and the second video covers HIPAA confidentiality.
All volunteers are required to read and sign all waivers in the Volunteer Application Packet.
