Join us for a week of exciting and educational events showcasing the artists, designers, musicians, filmmakers, authors, fashion and beauty changemakers who are lighting up our screens and airwaves to shift our consciousness and conversations for good.
ACC Senior Services is seeking a volunteer with excellent communication skills to assist in the operation of the reception desk at the ACC Care Center, and serve as the first point of contact for all visitors and phone calls made to the Care Center.
During a regular shift, you will be responsible for:
Abide by and enforce social distancing, and all other COVID-19 safety protocols.
Answer all calls and direct them to the appropriate staff person when necessary, or take messages as needed.
Provide information over the phone, as needed.
Assist in the scheduling of activities.
Other duties as assigned.
We'd really like our volunteer to have skills related to:
Effective communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
Familiarity with, and comfortable using, Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel.
Comfortable using a computer to schedule calendar appointments.
Ability to work independently, take direction, accept and enforce all rules and regulations, and have a sincere interest in supporting elderly and disabled populations.
Dependable and able to commit to a regular schedule.

Schedule & Length of Commitment Afternoon shifts available from 2:30 PM - 6:30 PM (each shift 4 hours), Monday - Friday and weekends. Volunteers are asked to commit to a regular schedule.
Before you start, we train you about:
ACC volunteer policies and procedures, HIPAA Confidentiality, and Elder Abuse Prevention.
Other trainings provided on an as-needed basis, dependent on volunteer job duties.
