Bay Area Green Tours

Bay Area Green Tours is a non-profit that creates interactive tours and experiences highlighting the sustainable economy in action to inspire and educate youth and adults to build a more enduring, resilient, and just future.

We're a grassroots operation reinventing ourselves by moving from in-person tours to virtual green tours. We are a volunteer-based organization for now, but we are building for the future by applying to grants and beginning outreach to corporations who want to sponsor our programs and/or buy virtual and in person team building tours. We just redesigned our website and streamlined our operations with a committed, fun, and sharp team of interns and volunteers.

We need the assistance of a driven, innovative, experienced individual to renovate our fundraising system to ensure a reliable and diverse stream of funding.

Responsibilities

Oversee and work with our fundraising interns in the identification, research, completion, revision, and submission of operational and programmatic grants to fund our current and future educational programs. Lead efforts to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors in order to increase the amount of funding we receive from that avenue. Develop a plan to streamline both of these processes to ensure consistent and efficient turnaround and steady income.

Requirements

  • Prior fundraising experience (preferred)
  • Project management skills (preferred)
  • Attention to details
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English
