Here is an opportunity to do just that. You can assist us in providing Mindfulness programs to mothers and fathers, children & teens, singles & couples, doctors, nurses, and all who live with stress and anxiety. To support our efforts in teaching inner-Mindfulness-skills that all human beings should know to live without so much stress, anxiety, worry, and distractibility. To empower them to live life with ease and well-being.

We are looking for three very special people who have the skills, expertise, experience, passion, and time to be part of something very meaningful that can improve the hearts and minds of humanity. The world is changing in fundamental ways, and people get lost in worrying about uncertainties of the future and sorrows of the past. Millions of people suffer from not being attentive to their work, their lives, their loved ones, to their own health and well-being. But we can help, as we have for over 13 years.

These are unprecedented times where through the internet, we are able to reach millions more all around the world and touch everyone as one family-the human family. We are in a position to educate and train so many more in the art of peacefulness, compassion, and self-healing through Mindful Awareness meditation and wisdom practices.

We are Perfectly Here , a dba of Mindful Valley, established in 2007 serving the greater Los Angeles area, across the nation and recently expanded globally. We are a non-profit organization, teaching individuals and groups the art of Mindful Awareness through curricula designed by the Mindful Awareness Research Center at UCLA. Our goal is to offer these and other advanced Mindfulness programs to 5000 new people in the next three years. And we need the help of dedicated and passionate people to help us reach this goal. The positive ripple effects of this goal will be immeasurable as each person trained in the art of Mindfulness and compassion will impact so many others in positive ways. Our founder, Dr. Manijeh Motaghy, is an International Speaker, UCLA Affiliate Mindfulness Teacher, and Corporate Trainer. She has over 10,000 hours of practice and training in Mindfulness and Buddhist teachings plus a Doctorate in Psychology of Management Consulting. Manijeh is an expert in transforming her students and clients’ to optimized levels of personal and professional advancement. She guides us through all of the organization’s development and affairs.

This volunteer position is for three UI/UX Web Page Designers who will be responsible for leading the overall UX flow and user experience in all aspects and phases of production. You will be leading the website design of an established non-profit as they undergo a rebranding and new website migration.

Applicants selected for this position would have an interest in meditation and mindfulness. They are equipped with flexibility, patience, critical thinking skills, and creativity in order to integrate into our vibrant and dynamic team. We would like to hear from candidates who are in a place in life where they have the experience, time, and interest to commit to the needs of our growing organization. The ideal candidate embraces peace, self-awareness, and is on the journey of wisdom, and service and looking to learn, and grow with us.

Responsibilities (priorities can often change, so this role includes, but is not limited to the following responsibilities):    

• Lead the UI design to meet design and nonprofit goals
• Execute the UI vision to a high degree of quality through example and leadership
• Work closely with the project team to create an exceptional overall user experience throughout the game
• Lead the creation of clear UX prototypes, documentation and style guides
• Can deliver the best possible user experience while staying within the engine’s technical requirements
• Review and process consumer and stakeholders feedback in order to refine the UX to best-in-class standards
• Study competitive products and understand what works and what doesn’t in their UI and UX implementations

Requirements:

• Expertise in Visual Design: from exceptional knowledge and understanding of the UX field to a well-developed sense of design composition and color
• Proven leadership skills with ability to inspire teams to execute a consistent UI vision, accurate to the intended design
• At least three years of practical work experience in the field
• Has strong verbal, written and illustrative communication skills with ability to align teams and stakeholders against a strong and consistent vision
• Takes and understands feedback well from multiple internal and external stakeholders
• Mindful and committed to deadlines and handles multiple tasks and/or priorities like a seasoned pro
• Has advanced knowledge in 2D animation in a UI context
• You have worked with and have solid understanding of UCD methodologies
• Dedicated in learning and developing your skills to the next level
• You are a creative person with a real passion for webpage creation
• Proficient in Sketch, Craft, Google Suite, Photoshop, Invision or other prototyping tools
• A portfolio demonstrating all aspects of your skill is required
