With such uncertainty with schools right now we are working to make such children and families have the food they need. These extra mobile sites at the schools were created for this purpose and we need volunteers! Volunteering at a DMARC Mobile Food Pantry is just like helping a friend shop for groceries! As a Mobile Food Pantry volunteer, you will meet at the mobile site and assist clients in selecting their food items after they have gone through intake.
- Helping people choose food items
- Bagging items
- Carrying items to people's cars or other modes of transportation
- Assisting the DMARC Mobile Food Pantry driver with miscellaneous tasks as needed
Support/Training:
You will be provided with instructions and ongoing guidance from a DMARC Mobile Food Pantry staff person for the duration of your shift.
Qualifications:
Able to stand, move, and lift (weight limits based on individual ability)
Hours: Every 3rd and 4th Wednesday 4PM - 6PM
