Director of Operations and Community Outreach: Carry out the President’s duties in the absence of the President Develop action oriented social policy reform ideas along with the President Assist with planning, organizing and hosting membership events, fundraisers and community events Assist with recruiting mentors, mentees, and Leaders to carry out the organizations mission Host/Moderate community discussions events in the absence of the President for educational purposes and community engagement Work closely alongside the leaders of different committees within the Mental Exchange, Inc. to promote agency structure and program development Work closely with the President and other board members to attend town hall meetings, crime commission meetings, and economic advancement meetings To engage in research and policy review of policing protocols at the local, state, and federal level To assign and oversee a Public Affairs committee to assist with research and development of policy proposals To build and maintain connections community members of law enforcement, public service officials, small business owners, educators, and state and local government officials Build and foster community relationships with like minded leaders within the same service industry (mental health, economic development, community restoration).
Mental Health Education Program Coordinator: To assist with program curriculum to increase knowledge of social, emotional, political, historical and current events To recruit and oversee mentors while building and maintaining positive role modeling relationships with adolescents aged 14-19 To recruit and oversee the Education committee members To facilitate or manage the facilitation of educational groups for the purpose of mental wellness, economic advancement, financial literacy, and political science knowledge To assist with planning and organizing career day community events with first responders, mental health professionals, educators, and other community builders. To empower community members and promote higher education by increased awareness of grants and scholarship programs To maintain confidentiality, dignity, and respect of all persons and members To facilitate or manage the facilitation of Psycho-education, processing, and skill based mental health support groups to clients of the program
