Springfield Donor Center has an immediate need for volunteers to help register donors at our Wabash Site!

What you'll do:
Greet donors and be the first friendly face they see! Use computer to accurately register our donor's information in the database. Guide donors to the next step towards completion of donation process.
Assist with overseeing the canteen if/when able. Potentially help schedule next donation appointment!

  • Mondays 10a - 1p
  • Mondays 1p - 5p
  • Tuesdays 1p - 5p

  • Fridays 8a - 12p
Must be at least 18. Must be comfortable using a computer. Asking for 6 months or longer commitment.

Description

The Blood Center is a volunteer-based organization that involves volunteer blood donors, a voluntary board of trustees, and community volunteers. Volunteers provide a much needed and valued service to our donors, patients and staff. We serve over 115 hospitals in 4 states and utilize volunteers from many areas to assist in our operations. Headquarters for the organization, as well as component processing, is located in Davenport, Iowa.

  • We ask for a 6 mo commitment due to investment of time and training resources. We are willing to be flexible with shift times, whenever possible! Time off requests are always accommodated!
  • Computer skills, data entry, people skills, customer service, ability to problem solve, willingness to learn, patience, positive attitude. Fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Masks are also mandatory.
