Mission Statement

Project Didi Australia strives for futures of hope, dignity and independence for survivors of trafficking and abuse.

Description

Project Didi Australia partners with locally-led organisations in Nepal to support women and girls to reclaim their lives after violence. Our work is powered by our didis, a respectful term for sister in Nepali. We provide survivors of trafficking and violence with the support, tools and opportunities they need to lead self-determined lives. This looks different for every woman.

We raise awareness and advocate for action to end modern slavery and violence against women, through our #SomethingForSlavery campaign drawing on the power of our everyday actions and choices.

We connect our Australian community meaningfully with our work, through for-purpose trips to Nepal, providing a unique insight into the challenges and resilience of Nepali women and raising critical funds to support our work.

Project Didi Australia is a partner for Project J1082N Futures of Dignity and Opportunity with Global Development Group (ABN 57 102 400 993).
