ENCOMPASS New Opera Theatre is expanding its' Board of Trustees. We are seeking philanthropically-minded and arts-loving individuals to join our accomplished, existing working Board, with its' model of teamwork.

The ideal candidate is willing to share their networks to help us gain greater exposure, augment our audiences and raise increased funds. They will possess various professional and/or business skills and experience to contribute to ENCOMPASS; are collaborative in their approach; and can support the organization financially through personal donations and fundraising.

Candidates will also embrace our two-pronged strategy of community outreach to both American and international causes.

ENCOMPASS New Opera Theatre was founded in 1976 by director Nancy Rhodes and producer Roger Cunningham with the mission to create, develop and produce adventurous productions of new music theatre and contemporary opera.

Description

ENCOMPASS is one of the leading non-profit companies in the United States serving an enthusiastic and loyal audience, as well as introducing our work to new audiences. ENCOMPASS also revives important American operas and develops emerging composers, librettists, singers and musicians. Our community engagement/outreach program - PARADIGM SHIFTS Music and Film Festival - celebrates courageous people preserving our planet, oceans, wildlife and sacred lands, by bridging indigenous culturs, women's wisdome and the social justice/environmental movements.
