Charleston Area Therapeutic Riding (CATR) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality Therapeutic Riding and Equine Assisted Activities. Our mission is to empower children and adults with disabilities to enjoy more active and fulfilling lives through therapeutic horsemanship.

We have several barns and a lot of fencing and are in need of capable volunteers to help take care of our facility! Facility Care volunteers will help maintain fences, buildings, and landscaping. This could include painting, brush clearing, weed-eating, carpentry, and more! If you are able to bring your own tools it is greatly appreciated but not required.

Our Facility Care Team meets every other Wednesday morning from 10:00 - 12:00, but other opportunities are available.

Social distancing, hand washing, and face masks are required. All actives will be outdoors and we keep a sign in log for contact tracing.

You can find our volunteer application and more information on getting started here: https://www.catr-program.org/start-volunteering. Please indicate that you are interested in facility care in any emails or messages.

We can't wait for you to join the CATR Team!
