Manatee County Animal Services is looking for dog walkers to fill 1 - 2 shifts per week. Dog walkers assist staff with taking adoptable dogs for daily walks on property using safe animal handling and designated training protocols. Applicants should meet one of the below requirements:
Have the equivalent of 30 hours in dog training/handling experience
Be a trained walker from programs such as Wag
Previous shelter experience with dogs of all levels
The ability to handle large dogs (60lbs+) and willingness to learn proper handling techniques
