During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
Veterans needed to visit fellow Veterans and provide companionship, conversation & just a listening ear! Will you join us so you can visit a fellow Veteran at least once per month either in their homes or at a facility and provide that personal connection they need?
You can train from your couch and make your own schedule. Most volunteers spend a few hours a month visiting with patients and giving caregivers a needed break. Volunteer all year round or just when you are seasonally available. There are no special skills needed- just a desire to be present and show that you care!
Our Clinical staff handles all care so there is no lifting, no medical experience, or hands-on care.
Give us a call to learn more about how you can be a friend and a companion to a Veteran in your local community. We need people just like you! ... for as little or as much time as you might be able to offer. Call Maribeth at 678-402-005 ext. 6201 to learn more or just to ask a few questions.

Cornerstone Hospice's mission is simple: Delivering extraordinary care to every person we touch in every community we serve. Volunteer opportunites are available throughout the seven Central Florida counties we serve: Hardee, Highlands, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Polk and Sumter, and now in Cobb County, Georgia. If you live in a neighboring county, you can still volunteer. However, all of your volunteer activities will take place in one of our seven counties, typically the one closest to you. PLEASE NOTE: Even if you are interested in several different volunteer roles within our organization, you only need to click on one opportunity during this process. You will have a chance to discuss ALL of your areas of interest during your volunteer training. Thanks!
Cornerstone Hospice volunteers are a vital part of our entire organization, and play an active role in helping to provide the many special comfort and support services that distinguish Cornerstone Hospice care.
Our volunteers are special, but not out of the ordinary. They are regular people just like you. They use common sense and understanding. They do not need a medical background. They listen. They care. Volunteers help make a patient's life more fulfilling and satisfying by giving their time, understanding, and support and asking nothing in return. They also provide support to caregivers who are often with the patient 24/7 and may need a much needed break. If direct care is not for you, you can assist with administrative tasks at our office locations, and help out with events and community outreach. Any Cornerstone Hospice volunteer will tell you that they feel they receive more from their experience than they give.
PLEASE NOTE: All volunteers are required to go through a training class with additional training required for some positions. For this reason, becoming a Cornerstone Hospice volunteer is typically not appropriate for court related community service hours or other short-term requests. Ideally, our volunteers commit to at least one year with us.
We'll work with your schedule.
