The Redwood City Parks and Arts Foundation (RWCPAF) is recruiting new board members, starting spring 2021.
The RWCPAF is a 501(c)3 non-profit. Our mission is to advocate, advance, and develop support for parks, recreational programming, community services, cultural activities, and the arts in Redwood City and surrounding unincorporated areas. We facilitate many of the Peninsula’s most well-known initiatives, including the Chalk Full of Fun Festival, Family Campout, Picnic en Blanc, Pub in the Park, Oktoberfest, CATA murals, and more.
Board members are volunteers and serve a two-year term. Board meetings are the third Thursday of every month from 7-9 PM. Board members commit, on average, 10 hours each month, with less obligations in the winter/spring and more obligations in the summer/fall. Board members volunteer by attending and managing community events, projects, and initiatives. We’re looking for individuals with expertise in fundraising, volunteer recruitment and management, community outreach, grant writing, social media, publicity, graphic design, financial planning, and event planning.
