On Saturday April 17th we will be removing invasive broom from beautiful Wunderlich County Park. If you're up for some weeding of invasive plant species while protecting oak woodland habitat, come join us! Check out the details here & sign up!

For more information:

To sign our Volunteer Agreement:

(Please fill this out & send it to jharrison@smc.org)

As we will be working with tools and plant species, it is necessary to wear closed-toed shoes, hiking/outdoor clothing, a personal water bottle, and a face mask/covering.
We suggest bringing clothing you are comfortable potentially getting dirty. We also suggest checking the weather beforehand, bringing a rain/warm coat, a hat, and/or sunscreen if necessary! If weather conditions are too extreme, this event may be canceled. However we will reach out to let you know if we see any potential for this to occur.

Groups of eight or larger need to be confirmed at least seven days in advance. Volunteers under the age of 18 must have the Volunteer Agreement signed by a parent or guardian. Youth under 15 are welcome and have to be accompanied by an adult.

We are very excited to have volunteers out at our parks, however due to COVID-19 we will be enforcing a strict 15-person limit, as well as social distancing and face covering protocols. We will also have hand sanitizer, rubber gloves, and weeding tools available.

Be sure to check our website in the upcoming weeks for more potential volunteer events!
